Skills & Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Michigan state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)

  • Experience working in a school setting preferred

  • Strong problem solving, organizational, time management, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals and parents

  • Compassionate and patient with a genuine commitment to improving students' lives

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations based on Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education and IDEA.

  • Develop, participate in, and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs).

  • Design and provide evidence-based individual and/or group educationally relevant therapy for students in accordance with their IEPs and goals.

  • Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication and learning needs.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of daily service logs, progress reports, and compliance based paperwork.

  • Stay current with best practices and research in Speech Language Pathology.
